Shawn is passionate about learning and development, which can be seen through his professional journey and by the amount (17) of different jobs that he has had during his career. Always excited to learn a new skill, it can sometimes be difficult for Shawn to sit down! Shawn studied psychology with aims of becoming a therapist, although he realized he had a passion for event planning after a role that allowed him to support underrepresented groups and create spaces and events for them to bond and develop community. 

Following this event planning passion realization, Shawn consistently placed himself in environments where he would be able engage in this passion. Ranging from facilitating onboarding sessions as a DJ/Host, to throwing DanceOlympic events as an Arthur Murray Instructor, Shawn constantly found himself in environments where he could use his background to ensure that participants feel comfortable and have the resources they need to be successful. Fitness became a new constant after Shawn transitioned from his remote-working lifestyle and wanted to start engaging with the community around him. He took his first BodyPump class with the encouragement of a friend and instructor, and a year later now enjoys teaching regularly and empowering his students to achieve their fitness goals!

In his free time, Shawn enjoys anything creative and loves to keep progressing! Shawn rotates between photography, modeling, singing, playlist curation, dancing, rapping, and has recently started learning how to produce music using digital audio workstations. When the creative juices are tapped out, you can find Shawn outside with his dog and friends, going on hikes and enjoying nature.
