Finding Your Exercise Passion

Hello! Today I wanted to talk about something that can be easily forgotten in our everyday life. It is so easy to choose to work out in a way where you are dragging yourself out of bed, forcing yourself to the gym, and robotically working through that exercise, feeling that you just gotta do what you gotta do. When I started to do this, I realized I was losing all the love I had for moving my body. When this started happening, I decided to make a change so that I could find fitness styles I was excited to participate in.

I started with finding a fitness center that had multiple possibilities to try. I then made a list of what is offered, and highlighted which ones sounded most fun and exciting to me to try first. While it may sound overwhelming and daunting, I challenged myself to try a new style each day of the week to find my niche. I brought a friend with me to new classes as a way to take off some of that pressure!

Turns out, my niche was less solidified than I thought. What I found I truly loved was the variety of exercise opportunities, so that I would do one style twice a week and different styles other days. This led me to noticing how the toll taken on my body decreased but the strength my full body displayed was stronger! Well rounded exercise in regards to the classes you take is special and something I suggest everyone tries.

Now for you, barre might be your thing. And if that makes you excited to wake up in the morning, then that is fantastic. But those who feel stuck, consider going out of your comfort zone and giving something new a try :)

If you ever want some more information about different class options, GLOW has an amazing studio admin team that would love to answer any questions, as well as give you a run down about what to expect! I have also found that trying out different instructors gives you another opportunity to find the style of teaching you like for each type of class format.

I know you can do it!
